✿Lolita at J-Pop, SF

I haven't talk about it on my blog yet but I was in Japan for 3 weeks and I just came back to attend the J-Pop Summit in Japantown, San Francisco last weekend.

NEW PEOPLE created this event and I had a booth for my hats and hair accessories.  Thank you so much for those of you purchase my items.

San Francisco was so cold that day and it was so hard for me to adjust the temperature of 2 different claimate in a few days.  I just came back to Berkeley a day before the event and the hot and humid Japan and cold summer of San Francisco were so apart from each other.

Anyway, there were many girls dressing lolita fashion at the event and I liked these 2 girls the best...

She looks like a doll.

Fashion show and dance contest were held at the main stage.

San Francisco has a long history of Japanese immigrants and it is such a nice feeling that we have a place we can call, Japantown here in SF.
My favorite places are Kinokuniya bookstore and NEW PEOPLE.

✿Fujiko Hemming

Ingrid Fujiko Hemming, a wonderful pianist came to perform in San Francisco last month and she also had charity piano concert at the church in San Leandro.

I went to her concert when she first came to perform in San Francisco in 2002 or 2003 and I was fortunate to find out about this charity concert for earth quake recovery for Japan this time.

After that concert, I spoke with her and her cousin (at right).
I really enjoyed listing her piano and I also like her art works a lot as well.
She has hard time hearing especially on her left ear but her performance is so wonderful and I really love it so much.

✿Jean Paul Gaultier

I went to see the exhibit of Jean Paul Gaultier at De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco about a month ago.

This mannequin at right is Gaultier himself.
It was really interesting that these mannequins had eyes and lips that moves along with the voice.

I've been wearing Gaultier perfume for men's for over 15 years now.

Bjork worn this clothes at his show.

They were showing lots of fashion show videos from the past and I really enjoyed this exhibition so much.
